Interested in playing radio in Lanark Highlands May 15 2010? Like fast cars? Prizes!

If you have not heard I am the assistant radio marshall for the Lanark Highlands Forest Rally this May 15th 2010 in McDonalds Corners, Ontario. I have taken it upon myself to help find and organize the Ham radio volunteers for this event.

I will need about 33 hams for this event.. Basically this is a closed road rally with a need for some quality radio operators to keep it safe. It's a fun day of volunteer radio, and you could win a Kayak or a $150 Durham Radio gift certificate! Lots of fast cars and we'll even feed you afterwards!

Since there will always be some who say they will come but don't make it for various reasons, this means I am looking for more than 33 radio operators, so I have my work cut out for me!

So for now I am asking if you think you may be interested in volunteering this year as a radio operator please let me know. Also, if you know any radio operators who might be interested, let me know that also or pass this along to them.

OK, if you wish to volunteer please sign up at the LHFR http://www.lhfr.ca/workers.php website. On the workers page you will find a link to the workers form that you will need to fill out if you are interested in helping out this year. If you are interested, please read the entire workers page first to make sure you are aware of all the ins and outs of volunteering (You all probably know this stuff, but please take the time anyway).

Once you have registered on the site, you can count on regular correspondence from Patrick Leclerc, who is the chief Marshall for the event.
