175th Anniversary of the Rideau Canal

Some members of the Manotick Amateur Radio Group will be operating special event stations at various locks along the Rideau Canal throughout the summer to commemorate the 175th anniversary of its opening.

The club has been granted use of special event call VC3R from June 30, 2007 to August 31, 2007. Operations start at approximately 8:00AM at the Ottawa Locks, where the Rideau Canal is scheduled to receive designation as a World Heritage Site.
